Winton Harness Racing Club

Winton is Southland’s premier harness racing venue, a 1498-metre grit track known for speed and fairness.
The long straights and sweeping bends give every runner a chance, producing some of the fastest times in the country.
Racing begins from the 1609-metre start, a true test of speed and stamina. The 1609-metre races start at the beginning of the home straight, then it’s one full lap to the finish.
Many southern champions have stamped their mark here, making Winton a favourite stop on the racing calendar.
